And I also wanted to share one of my favorite places in the world, the Redwood trees in Northern California. If you look real close you can see my favorite person once again peeking over the top of this huge Redwood tree.

We will be going to visit the Redwoods  soon and I can't wait to pitch my tent right underneath my (Giant Friends)!

Can anyone help Vegas Bob (Tweet at Twitter)?

 Twitter

I joined Twitter a long time ago and really haven't been spending enough time on the Twitter network. I have been advised by many different people that Twitter has been (Hot) for some time.

One of my main reasons I don't spend much time on Twitter is because I am like a (Babe in the woods), and I would rather be a professional hiker, etc. in the woods.

I am searching for a few members of Twitter that would like to help (Vegas Bob) learn and understand the big (Buzz) & steps so I can (Tweet at Twitter).

I would like to spend a a couple hours for a few days with a couple volunteers.

I have posted around 900 blogs at "The Rain" and have mastered a crowd! Now I would like to communicate with members of Activerain & Twitter and chat!

I will continue to post to Activerain the same as I usually do, so Twitter is not going to put a damper on AR for me.

If you would like to leave Vegas Bob some tips on twitter please do and if you would like to help me (Tweet at Twitter) please send me a email.

I will be available during the days any time after 3:00 pm (Pacific time)

Tweet Deck  I also formed a group at (Tweet Deck) and I don't have a clue how to use it!

I look forward to reading your comments so I can (Tweet at Twitter)!

Octavius - Caesars Palace - Las Vegas - Nevada by: Robert Swetz (Re-Post)

photograph by Robert Swetz - Las Vegas Nevada

I decided to re-post this blog because I was contacted from a huge news channel in New York that might be writing a story about (The Octavius Project)

And yes that is Vegas Bob in the photograph above.

They asked me many questions about the work I was doing and may even us some of my photographs, I will keep my fingers crossed.

This post was first blogged to (Localism) back in 1-21-2009.

THE OCTAVIUS  PROJECT

Octavius

 350-foot, 23-story tower

 665 rooms / 71 suites

Three new pool villas on second floor

Convention Center

2 levels attached to Palace Tower

110,000-square feet of flexible meeting space

 263,000-square feet ballroom

New pools

Replace Apollo pool & outdoor spas with three new pools

 one 1,600-square-foot invited-guest-only pool

two 1,900-square-foot pools for hotel guests, private parties, catered functions

This project expansion for Caesars is priced at over 1 billion and has had it's ups and downs as seen and read around the web.

I am working for Embassy Glass one of the oldest glass companies in Las Vegas, and we have a great crew. We are continuing to install huge glass panels around the top 21-24 floors.

Like all projects in Las Vegas, there is talk about cutting back and lay-offs. But in the long run The Octavius will continue to be built.

Here are some photographs taken from the 24th floor (1-21-2009

In the photograph above I am tied up safely to prevent injury! I am pointing down to one of the old pools that is being fixed up, shown in the next photo below. As you can see where I am standing, there is no barricade and the drop is over 300 feet.

Below is another photograph of where the new pools will be going attached to some of the older ones. And if you look real close at the bottom of the photo there is a trailer behind a white truck, these are the glass panels we are flying from the ground to the top floors.

In the photo below I am pointing at the new convention center being built for The Octavius at Caesars Palace.

Still searching for some one to edit my book!

I have posted several blogs about a book that I am writing and my search for some to edit it. I went on the web and found several businesses that edit, ghost write and publish books, but when I spoke with them over the telephone they were rude.

I would prefer to find some one in Las Vegas or the southwest because it's not a huge story and I would like to keep my draft close to home. But I do want to get it published because the out come from the book will help others and be a big influence on people.

If anyone through "The Rain" can help me to get my book out, it would be very much appreciated.

My book is for children & families of children that are dealing with some very ugly situations in this world.

I did have a friend in the Midwest that was going to help me, but he wants me to send him my story to look it over etc.

I am not really searching for some one to look over my story, I need it edited and published. If it doesn't sell, I can deal with it.

I look forward to reading your comments and contacting any of your leads you may have for me!

Looking back to where I've been!

Looking back to where I've been!

I drive and travel around every chance I get to new places. As much time as we spend working, I think sometimes we don't spend enough time away from our work place.

I have traveled all my life and have seen and been to many different states across the US, Canada, Mexico, South East Asia and more.

And there are so many more places that I want to see! Will I have enough time in my life to see all the different places I want to see?

As much as everyone works ..............

Are we working to just pay bills? Are we working to get ahead of something were not sure of? Are we working to plan the future for our families?

I have captured a moment looking back in this photograph below, sometimes we move so fast in life we forget where we've been.

I am very much into nature and looking at the beauty that God has created.

If everyone could get out more and enjoy nature like I do, they could really relate to this post!

Another Great way to protect your (Photographs)

One of my web site designers gave me this great information because he is also into photography.

It might seem like so much work, but don't you value your photographs and work? After you do it several times, it becomes easier.

I have displayed two photographs below.

One photograph is 100% and the other is only 20% actual size.

If you want to protect your photographs from other people stealing and blowing up, you want to post your pics at 20%

(Note) make sure before you re-size down to 20% that you save the original size into a new folder first. Other wise you will loose the original.

(Remember) before resizing make a new folder named (Originals), take your pic and put it in there. Now go back to the first location of you pic (Not) the new Original Folder and re-size for your post attachment.

The reason I want you to understand is because I don't want anyone angy at me because they lost their original photographs.

The first photograph below is an original and you have my permission to copy it and blow up or magnify this pic and view the pixels and how clear it is.

photograph by Robert Swetz

The photograph below is only 20% and you will see when you blow it up or magnify it how the pixels become very grainy and fuzzy.

You will never guess who sent Vegas Bob a email today? The Real Estate Fairy! (please read & bookmark)

Guess who sent me a email today?

The Real Estate Fairy, she was surfing through the web and saw that I had re-posted a blog I posted back in January of 2009.

The Real Estate Fairy I captured thinking about the Real Estate Market

I couldn't believe it when I first opened the email, I got goose bumps up and down my arms!

These are The Real Estate Fairies exact words in the email she sent me .................

 Vegas Bob,

I was very excited to see that you had re-posted the information I gave you back in January and wanted to give you a update on the latest months to come.

Now please remember this information is top secret and the media doesn't even have access to it.

Later this Spring prices are going to climb because homes are being picked up by investors, first time home buyers and (yes) Cities & States are purchasing homes from banks, etc., renting them until the market swings back full swing.

By about mid Summer the prices will be steady and there will be less inventory to choose from. And believe it or not prices will drop again in Fall through Winter.

Remember this price drop in Fall & Winter will be nothing like the drop it has been, and once again the inventory and great prices and nice homes will be limited.

Photograph by Robert Swetz (Vegas Bob)

The Real Estate Fairies advice would be if you can get financed with a great interest rate, (Buy Now)!

One word of advice though, make sure that your loan is a 30 year fixed and is financed from a Bank, etc., that has been around for a long time and that has no problems with the economy right now.

There are going to be Banks that will be filing bankruptcy, etc.

Vegas Bob, I would like you and all your friends at Activerain, Las Vegas and the Real Estate industry to have a wonderful Summer and I will come around in about three months.

 Love,  "The Real Estate Fairy"

Feel free to (Bookmark) my predictions if you like!
