What is the best way to generate Leads & Referrals through Activerain?

I am addressing this question to the Members of Activerain because I am very interested in learning what has worked for others and applying this to my Blogs and Network activity.

A very simple question with many different answers and I look forward to reading your information presented back through your comments.

Thinking into the Past & Looking into the Future by Robert Swetz

Water Fall

As I sat by this small waterfall back in May of 2008, I remember many thoughts that ran through my head.

The thoughts of how wonderful it was to view this small waterfall, the smell of the fresh air and wild flowers that lay beside the river banks, the sound of the water splashing over the rocks and landing in the pools of water.

Living in a big city takes away from us the joys of nature, quietness, solitude, freshness and simple things in life that we miss so often.

I am a nature boy by trait and I have many stories under my belt of all the traveling that I did when I was younger. I will be sharing some of these stories with everyone in the months ahead.

The main reason that I am sharing this post with you today is I would like you to (Bookmark) this post and try to make a plan with your families, loved ones, friends and plan a day out. Maybe a picnic by the Lake or River, maybe at the beach, maybe just somewhere in the woods.

It can be a weekend thing or just for the day.

As your out on your little trip, picnic, etc, I would like all you every other hour of your fun to just close your eyes for a moment. Smell the fresh air or food cooking on the grill, listen to the birds and the noises we really miss in the city, listen to the sounds of water splashing or the sounds of children having fun.

Then slowly open your eyes and look where you are an view the beauty that is in front of you, and think to yourself I really like this. This is a great time and I am so glad Robert suggested this little trip I am on.

And when your back to work in the city the following week, close your eyes and try to imagine your experience and the way you felt a couple days ago. This is a good experience!

Robert's suggestion is to repeat as often as needed.

And please don't forget to share with us your time spent within yourself at this group.

As new as Active Rain is, we are all (Newbies)! by Robert Swetz

Mandalay Myanmar (Burma)

As new as Active Rain is we are all (Newbies)!

Active Rain is not a very old Network and like anything New when we start learning, we can always learn more. Some may think they know it all, but every so often something comes across that we do not know.

Blogs, Posts, Tags, Bookmarks, Wigets, URLS, Etc. These are all words in the Internet World that we need to learn and know.

When I first joined Active Rain there was no Book, no Directions, no Begining or End.

It's all about Trial & Error!

We learn as we move along in the Network, and if you don't believe me try my little test.

Go back to your very First Blogs at Active Rain and read them and tell me you haven't come a long way since then.

And 6 months from now as AR members we keep learning and will continue to see Change.

So if you Think you know it all about The Active Rain Network, Think again because it is forever Changing.

This photograph above is for all my Active Rain Friends & Family for the New Week ahead. And remember Open up your Minds for more learning at Active Rain.

" Have a Wonderful Week at The Rain "

What are these Seals saying to each other? by Robert Swetz

What are these seals saying to each other?

photo taken by Robert Swetz in California 7-7-2008

What are these Seals saying to each other?

 1)   Hey, your blocking my sun light!

 2)   Do you come to this Beach often?

 3)   That's my partner!

 4)   When the last time you bathed!

 5)   How many Cubs do you have?

 6)   Should we go catch a wave?

 7)   Should we go get a bite to eat?

 8)   Where's the toilet?

 9)   Should we watch the Sunset together?

10)  I'm not in the mood!

11)  Where's your family?

12)  I think I have a cavity!

13)  What's your last name?

14)  Will you be my Friend?

If you can think of what these Seals might be saying to each other, please share it with us.

This Post is for Elizabeth & Chastity by Robert Swetz

Van Duzen River - Northern California

photo taken by: Robert Swetz 7-7-2008 Van Duzen River - Northern California

This is a special post for Elizabeth and Chastity because they both loved a very similar photo I put out to the Clouds Group.

If neither one of you have ever been to Northern California and I am talking way up by Eureka/ Fortuna area, you might want to plan a trip with your family.

Anywhere on the coast in this area and inland is all breath taking. Once you have experienced it by being there you will never forget how beautiful and wonderful God has created the World we live in.

I have been many different places all across the USA and in 40 different states including Alaska and I will tell you like I tell others, Northern California is one of the most beautiful places in the World.

Why do you think so many people live there? There are Earthquakes, High Taxes and California is rated one of the most expensive places to live in the country.

The reason so many people live in California is because of it's Beauty.

Beautiful Water Lilies

WATER LILLIES

photo taken by Robert Swetz  May 17 - 2008

I posted a blog about Water Lilies and clothing that is made from them, but my post wasn't very successful so I thought I would give it another try with a different approach.

Here is the link for my older post and it is very interesting:

HANDMADE CLOTHING MADE FROM WATER LILIES

Let me know what you think and these flowers are so beautiful and they grow wild all around this huge lake in Myanmar (Burma) South East Asia.

Sun Looks Like a Orange Ball of Fire!

Ball of Fire

photo taken by: Robert Swetz - Lake Tahoe - July 2008

When visiting Lake Tahoe several months ago there were fires all over California and the sky was full of smoke and heat.

This Sunset photo through the trees was not doctored up. The sun actually looked like a Orange Ball because of all the smoke, heat and fires happening through the state.

I was very disappointed on my visit to Lake Tahoe because we could not even see across the lake at all the mountains. But I did get some very wonderful photos like this with many colors of Red & Orange.

Sometimes we have to sacrifice one thing for another.
